Liquid lip colors are all the rage right now. When it comes to liquid lip colors, it seems that everyone wants a matte lip color — it's the most popular finish. I am incredibly picky when it comes to any type of matte lip color so when I heard that MAKE UP FOR EVER was releasing this new Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick, my ears perked up. I was lucky enough to give this new matte liquid lip color a try, and I'm happy to say that I am impressed.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick looks like an average lipgloss in that it comes in a tube with a flocked wand, precise applicator. What is different is that the formula is ultra-matte but comes in a unique formula.

The formula of Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick is very lightweight yet very hydrating. It glides on and feels super smooth and full of moisture. It is created with beeswax and avocado so lips feel soft and are actually nourished as you wear it. The difference in this formula is that the lip color is so very pigmented and very matte, almost velvety. It is a matte formula that doesn't crack or become dry or cakey on my lips; this formula looks smooth and beautiful with full-on color.
