Get the Look: Nicole Kidman at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards.

I love the color of Nicole Kidman's hair. Her hair stylist David Babaii, updated her color a bit, just in time for the Golden Globes. Her makeup was done by CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Angela Levin.

HAIR

According to David, "First, we created a change in Nicole's hair color opting for a lighter strawberry blonde. To achieve true tonal color while improving the condition of the hair use IT&LY HAIRFASHION's Colorly 20/20 Professional Hair Color."

As David reveals, "The style inspiration for Nicole's look was my take on a modern day Veronica Lake". To style Nicole's hair, David began with Pure Shampoo and Conditioner by IT&LY HAIRFASHION to maintain her hair color balance while hydrating with pure botanicals. Next, he applied a small amount of the silicone free Miracle Oil Hair Elixir by David Babaii (www.miracleoilhairelixir.com) to add additional shine and protect the hair from thermal damage. To dry, he used a small round brush to create an ultra smooth finish while bumping the ends under. To complete this "Veronica Lake" look, David used a large barrel curling iron, wrapping only the bottom portion of the section around the barrel to create soft natural waves. To finish, he created a side part and lifted the root area with IT&LY HAIRFASHION's Pure Volumizing Eco Hair Spray, lightly spritzing the ends for a long lasting hold.

MAKEUP

Inspiration:
The inspiration for this makeup look was Nicole’s dress.  Angela said, “I focused on the amazing color and details on her dress, to create this fresh, elegant look.”

How-To:
To start the process, Angela primed Nicole's face with CHANEL Sublimage Essential Revitalizing Concentrate and CHANEL Hydra Beauty Hydration Protection Radiance Serum.  To even out the skin tone, she applied a thin layer of Senna Barely Base in Light, and then a layer of CHANEL Vitalumiere Moisture-Rich Radiance Fluid Makeup SPF 15 in Ivoire.  To play up Nicole's eyes Angela used the taupe shade in the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Lilium all over the lids, followed by the deep green shade to define the upper lash line.  She lined under the lower lash line with Face Eyeshadow in Steel, and then the lashes were finished with CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir.  To complete the look Angela used CHANEL Powder Blush in In Love on the cheeks and Laura Mercer Secret Brightening Powder on the cheek and brow bones.  Lastly, she used CHANEL Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Superstition to achieve a neutral-lip look.

Golden Globes Beauty: Nicole Kidman.

Celebrity Makeup Artist Angela Levin created the gorgeous look worn by Nicole Kidman for this years Golden Globe Awards.

Beauty Inspiration:
"Nicole's dress was a stunning, elegant white gown, so I wanted to add a bit of edge with the makeup.  The Golden Globes were all about a touch of rock and roll this year!"

Beauty Tip:
"I prepped the Nicole’s skin with CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate, and applied CHANEL Pro Lumiere Makeup in Nude.  On her eyes I used the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Winter Nights, and three coats of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir.  Her cheeks were CHANEL Powder Blush in In Love. I finished off her lips with CHANEL Rouge Allure Laque in Ming.”

Her hair was tended to by David Babaii.

Celebrity hairstylist David Babaii created Nicole's look with a 70's feel. To achieve this look, he applied a small amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment (David is the first to use this "new" product: available March 2011) to her damp hair. David created a full side part and sectioned the hair for control. His favorite method is to divide the head into 4 sections (top, sides, back leaving the nape area your starting point). With the finest Italian made blow dryer by IT&LY HAIRFASHION and a medium round brush, David wanted to demonstrate that you can achieve straight hair while infusing volume by using only a blow dryer. After drying each section straight, he applied an additional amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to the lower portion of her hair. He divided the strands into 6 large sections and wrapping each one around a round brush. Each section was given a blast of hot air to create the curl followed by a shot of cool air to set the curl in place. Gently he released the curl creating soft defined waves.
