IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact Solid Serum Foundation.

In case you haven't noticed, one of my favorite brands is IT Cosmetics. I regularly use IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream as my foundation (unless I'm going for special occasion makeup, in which I'll use this) as it gives me beautiful flawless, full coverage with SPF and anti-aging ingredients all-in-one. Everyone that tries CC+ Cream absolutely LOVES it. I even use skincare from IT Cosmetics, and one of my faves is Confidence in a Cream. When I received the brand new Confidence in a Compact which marries Confidence in a Cream with full coverage foundation and turns it into a solid serum foundation in compact form (I had a sneak peek in a QVC TSV in January), I have been obsessed.

Like all of IT Cosmetics, Confidence in a Compact was developed with plastic surgeons, and it is chock full of anti-aging ingredients like hydrolyzed collagen and hyaluronic acid which helps to plump skin and fill lines instantly. It also is full of antioxidants and squalane which gives the formula a wonderful feel plus SPF 50+ physical sunscreen.

Confidence in a Compact truly delivers all the skincare benefits of Confidence in a Cream plus full-coverage foundation. The trick to getting full-coverage from the product is using firm pressure and the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Skin Skin-Smoothing Complexion Brush. You need to take the brush and really apply pressure into the compact and swirl it around to activate the serum and color pigments. I swirl the brush over my face to get light to medium coverage and keep picking up more product from the compact, being sure to apply firm pressure when you dib into the compact. I dab the brush and use more of a stippling effect (versus swirling) where I need more coverage. The finish is flawless and leaves me with a beautiful, soft glow.

I will be using Confidence in a Compact in the drier winter months and switch to CC+ Cream in the summer or warm weather months where I feel Confidence in a Compact might be a bit too heavy for me. The formula is definitely lightweight, but it is heavier than CC+ Cream. I have very dry skin and I love it. Caci has normal to oily skin and she loves it as well.

I am getting seven to eight hours wear out of Confidence in a Compact before I notice fading. I have been applying it over primer and have not been using any finishing powder which might extend its wear, I just don't like powder in the winter because my skin is just so tight and dry.

Confidence in a Compact is offered in IT Cosmetics' new extended shade range.

  • Medium - Light to medium skin tone
