Makeup Wars: My Favorite Cream Shadow.

After missing a few of the most recent Makeup Wars challenges, I am glad to be back and participating in this one. That's because we are talking about a favorite product again; this time our favorite cream eye shadows.

I sort of have a love/hate relationship with cream eye shadows. I have tried a lot of them from many different brands. Every so often, I get this weird reaction where my eyes get puffy when wearing them. After starting to get the same reaction from gel liners, in which they were all dark colors, I sort of have it figured out. I don't have an allergic reaction to the product itself, I have a reaction to certain pigments. I think. I still have to question this because I have never had a reaction to any of the cream shadows I have used from MAC.

Now, MAC has a few different cream based shadows: Paint Pot, Cream Colour Base, Pro Longwear Paint Pot, Metal-X Cream Shadow and Paints (which was my very first cream shadow ever). Out of all of those, my favorite, which I am officially declaring my favorite cream shadow is...

I really like the rich, creamy formula of the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot. It is easy to work with and blend with other shades to get the eye look I want. The cream dries down to a beautiful pearly glow. It never fades, or creases and lasts beautifully on my eyes all day. To apply, I use the MAC 242 shader brush. I gently brush the color over my eye, and then blend them all out with an airbrush concealer brush.

The Pro Longwear Paint Pots that I have pictured are from the brand new MAC Breaking Beauties collection. They are so pretty and I have been using them all together for a soft, spring eye.

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot: Eclair, Fancy Frosting, Let's Skate!

I use Let's Skate! (the pale pink with shimmer) all over my eye, and then add Fancy Frosting (the frosted white) to the inner corners of my eye and finish my lid with Eclair (the light golden brown). They sell for $18.50 each.

I can't wait to see what the rest of my blogger friends have chosen as their favorite cream shadows. Click though all the logos below to see them all.

My favorite too. Want to check out the new colors too. They look really pretty.
What pretty shades! I always forget to check my MAC counter!
Those look lovely! I haven't tried any of the new ones.
I haven't tried the Pro Longwear's yet! I love the rest of the items in the line so I need to get on it. They look gorgeous!
I looked at the Pro Longwear but I was afraid they'd be too frosty. They look so pretty in your picture though.
oooooh! These look amazing. :-)
Ooooh! These look amazing Teri! I am going to have to check those out!
The pink looks so feminine and perfect for spring.
I am in love with Eclair - I was afraid it was going to be too dark and muddy on me, but it makes such a pretty lid color.
Shame on me. I've never tried them!
Great choices! The colors are pretty. I know I'll be buying a few. Creamy and frosty are the best!
Great pick! I was so torn between original Paint Pots and these Pro PP that I picked pencils instead!
I have a few of the Paint Pots but haven't tried the Long-Wear variety. I never had a problem with wear before, but I suppose the Long-Wear would be good for summer and swimming. I assume they are waterproof? The colors you have are soooo pretty!
So happy to see you picked my favorite. I need these colors!
These look so pretty! Hoping to check them out in person this weekend.
