Makeup Wars: My Favorite Makeup Brush.
The Makeup Wars girls at at again. This time we are battling our favorite makeup brushes.
I didn't have to think hard about my favorite makeup brush because this one is a winner, hands down. My favorite makeup brush is the MAC 187 Duo Fibre Face Brush. I use it each and every day. I use it with creams, liquids, powders, blushes, highlighters and more. The MAC 187 brush does it all.
I wouldn't even know where to begin in how to describe a makeup brush; I just know how to use it. This is how MAC describes the brush:
A large full circular brush used for lightweight application and blending of face powder or pigments. Use to create soft layers or add textures. Made from a soft blend of goat and synthetic fibres.
I use this brush all over my face with a liquid foundation for just the right amount of coverage. I can use it with a cream blush for the ultimate airbrushed look. I can use it with concealer to stipple on a bit more coverage where I need it. I can use it with a powder blush for again, an airbrushed look. I use it with all over face powder to give either a sheer or all over wash of color. This time of year, I use it with bronzer all over my face to deepen my face shade a bit. Of course I do use the 187 for what it was made for, with a light dusting of finishing powder to just finish up and soften my look.
Right now I have three of the 187 brushes. I think I had five or six of them at one point, but I am pretty sure my sister and my daughter have snagged one or two from me because right now I only have three in rotation. I keep one for liquids, one for creams and concealers, and one for powders. I guess you really only need three. I do anyway. You really just need one to be sold on it.
