Fashion Week S/S 2012: Backstage at Lela Rose.

The inspiration for the Lela Rose Spring/Summer 2012 Collection was the post-Rat Pack era and variety of color combinations and textures found in vintage Las Vegas photography. Overall, it was a bit retro with a lot of texture.

Makeup for the show was created by Tina Turnbow for Bare Escentuals on Beauty.com, hair was created by Ted Gibson for Beauty.com, and the nails were reated by Deborah Lippmann for Beauty.com.

Fashion Week S/S 2012: Backstage at Rebecca Minkoff.

mark, the beauty and fashion boutique brand, was the proud makeup sponsor for Rebecca Minkoff’s Spring 2012 show.

Celebrity Makeup Artist Mai Quynh created the look on the models for the show, that can eaily be re-created at home. The neutral eyes with a bold lip is a look that will not just be seen on the runway, but it looks like it will be a trend come spring.

Here are the products Mai used backstage:

The nails were created by Haven Spa with essie. A candy-striped look, nails were first coated in two layers of essie’s Below the Belt, a dazzlingly bright creamy white. Two coats of vertical pink stripes were then painted with a thin brush with essie’s Pink Parka, a shocking, Barbie-esque shade that made the nails pop to spectators, even sitting from afar the runway.
