Getting Healthy with Nutrisystem: Week 13.

I can't believe that I have been on the Nutrisystem plan for over 3 months now. It has really become a way of life for me. I know what I am supposed to eat and when I am supposed to eat it. I know how much exercise that I am supposed to fit in each day. It is routine. It is the point of the plan. The fact that it is working for me is amazing.

The point that I want to make in this post, which I am going to keep brief because it is straightforward, is that the plan works. You just have to follow it and stick to it for it to work.

There are no excuses when it comes to a plan like Nutrisystem. It has worked for thousands of people. The fact is that you have to follow it for it to work. You have to follow it each and every day. Put in the work. Eat the food. Drink the water. Do the exercise. The weight will come off.

I did my work this week and I saw more weight come off. This week I lost another 1 pound, bringing my total weight loss to 22 pounds. I am thrilled that I found a plan that I can stick to!

Getting Healthy with Nutrisystem: Week 12.

This is the week that I was dreading. I was dreading it because I knew I was going to be faced with a lot of temptations. We had a weekend filled with weddings and I knew that I wanted to not too much about my diet, enjoy myself and just eat wedding cake. And I did. I made plans for it and was extra careful leading up to the weekend.

I lost more weight than I planned over the last few weeks and I knew I could make this work. I still exercised over the week. Though I didn't have time over the weekend, I had my Nutrisystem bars with me to stay on plan as much as I could during the day as we got ready. I filled up on salads at the events and was careful to eat small portions of the meal. I stayed from the heavy appetizers and drinks and that really helped.

I did allow myself some cake. I figure with all the dancing I did, I must have burned off that cake I allowed myself to have anyway. Life happens and it's all about smart choices.

Planning and working Nutrisystem into my plan is key. This week I lost another .5 pound making my total weight loss 21 pounds.

Getting Healthy with Nutrisystem: Week 11.

I've had a really busy week and I worked really hard on fitting in my exercise too. It was difficult but I had to fit into a dress for a wedding this weekend. The good news is that I did!

All of my clothes are all too big. Belts don't cut it any longer. My pants just look baggy on me with belts. My shirts look oversized and everything looks so unflattering. I look like I am trying to hide in my clothes. I am swimming in my cute cardigans that I couldn't wait to pull out for fall. The problem is that I am not ready to shop for new clothes yet. Though I am down a solid size, I am not to my goal yet and I don't want to buy clothes that I will only be wearing for a few months. I don't feel like living in yoga pants and zip up sweatshirts either, but I don't know what else to do at this point.

Back to my exercise and fitting into the dress for a wedding this weekend. I found the dress I wanted and tried it on in two sizes. The 14 was clearly too big and the 12 fit, but was a bit tight around the bust. I didn't even know how to lose weight around my bust. Even with the right undergarments, it was still a bit form fitting up top.

I upped my walking to twice every day - each day this week. I walked faster, harder and longer each time. I also made it to the gym three times this week to use the bike for 30 minutes and get back to using the Cybex machines that I haven't used in months. It felt great!

Not only does my dress fit, it fits great; I have plenty of room up top. I am so happy to be in a size 12, you have no idea. I am also excited to report that I lost 4.5 pounds this week, making my total weight loss 20.5 pounds so far. That extra hard work really paid off for me.
