Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact.

One of my favorite tinted moisturizers is now available in a new cream, or as Laura says, "crème"  form. What's not to love? The formula is similar, but even easier to apply and much easier for travel. Meet Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact.

The lightweight crème formula is super easy to blend on with a sponge or even fingers. I even like using my favorite makeup brush to apply. The finish is super soft, subtly dewy and makes skin look very natural, yet almost flawless.  With an SPF 20 and a hint of color, this portable compact is perfect for travel and touch ups on the go.

There are twelve shades to choose from.

  • Porcelain - for very fair skin tones
  • Blush - for fair skin with pink undertones
  • Nude - Light beige for fair to light skin tones
  • Sand - for light to medium skin tones
  • Bisque - for light neutral complexions with balance of yellow and pink undertones
  • Fawn - for medium skin with pink tones
  • Almond - for light medium skin tones
  • Tawny - medium skin tone with neutral undertones
  • Caramel - for light tanned & olive complexions with yellow undertones
  • Tan - medium to dark skin tones
  • Walnut - for rich, deep skin tones
  • Mocha - for deep complexions with a balance of yellow and red undertones

Right now, I am using the color Fawn to blend nicely with my self-tan. It is a medium shade with pink undertones. It looks darker in the compact than it is. Remember, it may look like a foundation, but it is still a tinted moisturizer. The color is more like a wash of color, so it is lighter when going on, and more forgiving than the liquid formula.

The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact is for sale for $45.00 right now online at lauramercier.com and in Sephora.

SPF Yourself: Fusion Beauty Prime Results Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15.

SPF Yourself is a series of posts featuring products that contain a sunscreen, or SPF, in them. Not only sunscreens, but body lotions, facial moisturizers, eye creams, foundations, tinted moisturizers, bronzers, hair care and more will be featured. Only the best in beauty with SPF!

Have I told you yet that I love using a tinted moisturizer versus a foundation in the summer? Well, only about a hundred times, or what feels like that anyway. I am a huge fan of tinted moisturizers and have been discovering so many new ones this year. I hope you have enjoyed my reviews and have come to find one (or a few) new tinted moisturizers to try.

My latest discovery is from Fusion Beauty, called Prime Results Tinted Moisturizer. Like all of the Fusion Beauty products, this one is formulated to pull double-duty, which it does plus so much more.

Like the name suggests, this is a primer, tinted moisturizer and sunscreen in one. I liken it to the new onslaught of beauty balms, though this was created before these such products hit us here in the states. The formula covers better than an average tinted moisturizer. Most tinted moisturizer cover very lightly and require a little bit of concealer or extra product to cover areas such a freckles, blemishes, and hyperigmentation. I was pleasantly surprised at how well Primer Results covered these problem areas, while not looking or feeling heavy. The overall look I got was a more sheer wash of color, but more on the medium coverage side.

This tinted moisturizer also has a primer that is in the formula, along with the extra moisturizing properties.  You see,  this product incorporates two approaches to skin moisturization: flash-hydration for instant results, and prolonged-hydration for continuous quenching over time. On top of that, it contains the SPF of 15.

Fusion Beauty has done nicely with the shades that seem very forgiving to a lot of skin tones.  It comes in Ivory, Sand, Carmel and Golden Beige.  Sand is the most popular color and would do well for most light-medium skin tones. I am using Golden Beige to blend in with my summer golden faux-glow, but plan on incorporating Sand in the mix when I opt for a tinted moisturizer in the colder months, on the weekend, perhaps.

Prime Time Results Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 can be purchased at Sephora, Nordstrom and HSN for $40.00. It is on the more expensive side in terms of comparing it to other tinted moisturizers alone, but the results speak for themselves, and I wouldn't hesitate on the splurge.

Philosophy Hope in a Tinted Moisturizer.

Philosophy just introduced a multi-tasking tinted moisturizer that infuses advanced moisture and tinted coverage with its fabulous "hope" formula. This new moisturizer is appropriately called Hope in a Tinted Moisturizer.

This new tinted moisturizer is a savior for me. You see, I love using tinted moisturizers in the summer and often on the weekends, when I am taking a break from a full face of makeup. I have tried my share and realize that I need a bit more coverage than many of these tinted moisturizers have to offer. I also hate that many of them still depend on my own moisturizer as a base, which defeats the purpose, doesn't it? Hope in a Tinted Moisturizer solves both of these dilemmas for me. While it touts sheer coverage, I find it full enough for me, and actually think it is better than "sheer". Also, as it incorporates hope skin technology in the formula (with SPF UVA/UVB protection), I only need this tinted moisturizer as it is designed.

Hope in a Tinted Moisturizer is available in 8 shades, which I surprisingly found darker than what I would have though. I would normally choose light to medium, but it is actually a bit to dark for my fair skin, so light is the perfect shade for my NC20/30 skin. My suggestion is to go a shade lighter than what you would think.

The hearty sized 1.7 oz. tube sells for $38 and is available at philosophy.com, Sephora and sephora.com as well as QVC.
