I've made it no secret that I am a fan of COVERGIRL mascaras. When a new COVERGIRL mascara comes out, I run to the store and buy it right away to give it a try; I'm rarely disappointed.
FUN FACT: One of my all-time favorite mascaras is COVERGIRL Clump Crusher Mascara and I still use it a few times a week.
When the COVERGIRL Instagram account teased a new LashBlast mascara a few weeks ago, I waited with anticipation. Luckily, my friends at the brand quickly sent me a sample of the new Flourish Mascara by LashBlast and this new mascara does not disappoint.
Flourish Mascara adds definition to your lashes while giving lashes a conditioned feel. This mascara provides subtle volume when you build it up with additional layers.
Two to three coats of Flourish gives lashes a natural, everyday look; about five coats of Flourish gives lashes more of a volumized look.
Either way you wear it, lashes have that defined fanned out look.
What I really like about COVERGIRL Flourish Mascara is how my lashes feel when I use it.
Thanks to the ingredients in the formula, lashes never feel hard or crunchy; lashes actually feel soft or conditioned. The formula is really creamy as it contains papaya, avocado, and coconut oils.
I have worn Flourish a few times already, and although I have lash extensions, I did test it on my lower lashes and on top of my extensions.
When I wore Flourish mascara, I experienced no smudging, flaking or fall out. I had a very small amount of clumping when I got to the fourth or fifth layer, which quickly wiped away.
In addition to Flourish Mascara, COVERGIRL has also released LashBlast Amplify Primer to maximize results of your mascara.
COVERGIRL LashBlast Amplify Primer works on its own, with any mascara or with the new Flourish Mascara.
COVERGIRL LashBlast Amplify Primer is a multitasking eyelash primer that was made to maximize the results of your mascara. It works by adding length and thickness by using micro-fibers, argan, jojoba and coconut oils. Over time, lashes feel more conditioned.
I've used this only one time before using Flourish, and it did make a difference as to how thick and long my lashes looked. As I do wear extensions, something like this is not necessary for me, but for someone who needs a bit of extra oomph, an eyelash primer is a great thing.
